Heavy rains in the Mara make it difficult to find cheetahs in the tall grass, therefore every sighting becomes special. In the past few months, some cheetahs began to explore the territories that had previously visited briefly. Rosa was raised in Tanzania and spent most of her life in the northern Serengeri and at the border – in Sopa area. To date, she raised four cubs in two litters (one male and three females) to independence, and often seen not far from one of her daughters – 5-year old Rosetta. For the 8-year old cheetah, she has healthy teeth; however, her ears show the first signs of sarcoptic mange. At this stage, cheetahs recover well, especially if they have not previously had it.
